Bond Scheme
The Bond is designed to free up cash that is normally tied up in the period between exchange of contract and completion. Issued on behalf of a Buyer to a Seller when exchanging contracts, the Bond provides a simpler, cheaper, yet equally effective alternative. Hence if you already have the cash deposit you can keep it and invest it, generating further income while your new property is being built.
Plus, the really GOOD NEWS is that the Bond is a NO COST OPTION (apart from the small administration fee – see below) because the value of the Bond is refunded back to you by the developer at completion time
Applying for a Bond requires the payment of an administration fee of € 85 which is non-refundable even if the application is unsuccessful
