CONTRACT/PAYMENT PROCESS
The charges expected of a client are as follows:
1. 3,000 GBP reservation holding deposit (this goes toward the 40% of purchase price down payment when you confirm you are proceeding) this is a refundable holding deposit.
2. 40% deposit of the purchase price at contract stage
3. £2,300 Compass purchase/admin fees (this includes: Legal fee for processing the reservation contract and legal fee for the compromise de vent, that is, promise of sale)
4. 60% remaining of the purchase price on completion (poss. 10% returned if you go for a 70% mortgage)
5. 5% to 6% closing costs (detailed below).
Closing Fees in Morocco
In addition to the purchase costs, in Morocco there are standard closing fees applicable to this country. These are much lower than most other countries
Most of the time this calculates at around 5% (however, according to the notary, sometimes this can be up to 6%)
These estimated costs are as follows:

*0.5% - Public Notary Tax
